Palazzo Caetani
This monumental complex, of great historical and artistic value, was largely acquired by the Lazio Regional Government, which oversaw its restoration and enhancement, for example by restoring the fascinating fragments of frescoes discovered in the ‘camera picta’.
Sala Lizzani - Complesso San Domenico
The convent complex of San Domenico stands on the edge of the Roman castrum, whose walls it incorporates. It is first mentioned as early as 935, when the town of Fondi was elevated from a duchy to a county. The Convent and its adjoining church were donated to Patriarch San Domenico by the Benedictines of the ancient Abbey of San Magno (6th century AD) at the behest of Count Ruggiero dell’Aquila, who oversaw the first restoration (12th century).
